A couple of years ago I introduced a couple aluminum prints into my display. I got such good feedback, I added a few more, and then a few more. Now I use them for my entire display! Some of the questions folks have asked at my booth include: “Are those glass?” “Are they lit from behind?” and “What makes them so vibrant?” Images are transferred by infusing dyes directly into specially coated aluminum sheets. Because the image is infused into the surface and not on it, they present a seemingly backlit luminescence with more depth than a standard print.
The goal of my photography is to bring a life like view of the amazing birds and habitat I capture. I find that the polished aluminum prints are perfect for that. They’re durable, moisture friendly for high humidity areas and washable with windex or similar products. As a bonus, they save the effort and cost of framing, and offer a modern space saving alternative to standard frames.
My standard aluminum prints come ready to hang with a 1/2 deep aluminum mounting plate on the back.
